Today Gumdrop Cookie Shop’s custom cookies were featured on Mitzvah Market, which is an online resources for Bar/Bat Mitzvah planning families.  The article featured custom cookie favors from our gallery and from our couture birthday collection.

Mitzvah Market has a tremendous database filled with resources to help families make planning more fun and less stressful so we’re thrilled that we could be a part of their Web site.  The company was started by working Mitzvah planning Moms who deliver Mom-to-Mom advice to their readers via an email newsletter called, Mitzvah Market Mail.   They are also the official Web site of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Guide magazine.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this image I received recently for an order of custom cookies.   I was super excited because I knew the graphic would look fantastic on a cookie.  While I only show the cookies here, I mixed up the colors of the raffia so each favor cookie brought out the yellow, purple and aqua colors. 

Local Brooklyn artist Fumiha designed and ordered these cookies so I was able to tell her in person how much I loved the design (and see her reaction when she opened them!).   This is another nighttime shot, so the quality is not the best, but I couldn’t send them out the door without grabbing a quick shot.

I occasionally get the opportunity to make decorated cookies for my family and friends, which is always a pleasure because I can see their reaction myself when they open the box.  My grandpa’s 90^th birthday was no exception.   To add some details to the surprise occasion, I created custom decorated cookies using a young photo of him from his army days.  It was the perfect photo to create personalized, unique decorated cookies as favors as well as cupcake jewerly, which took the place of a typical birthday cake.
